This Week: Amazon announce two new EC2 instance types: the i3.metal, ideal for high-performance workloads or applications that cannot run in a virtualized environment; and the C5d, which is configured with local SSD block storage and is ideal for apps that rely on high-speed storage. The ALB now supports a Slow Start Algorithm that allows targets to warm up before accepting requests. Early-bird tickets are still available for ACG’s Serverlessconf 2018 in San Francisco. And we announce our Guru of the Week winner!
