The WOLK Elevator Pitch

We wrote an elevator pitch, then used a bot to read it out loud so we could hear it. This is the first draft.

An early attempt at getting some videos out there, born from the requirement to create a short repeatable pitch, to create the toolkit and skills to do video or screencasting.  It is basic, but we kind of like it.  We would like to thank Lamby for stepping up and doing the voiceover.

Tools used

Camtasia from TechSmith
https://www.techsmith.com/video-editor.html

Camtasia makes video editing simple and intuitive. Anyone can create informative, engaging videos. No video experience needed.

So straight forward to produce this very simple video.  Including buying, installing and creating we are only talking a couple of hours.  We will work on the visuals for attempt number 2.
Polly from AWS
https://aws.amazon.com/polly/

Amazon Polly is a service that turns text into lifelike speech, allowing you to create applications that talk, and build entirely new categories of speech-enabled products. Amazon Polly is a text-to-speech service that uses advanced deep learning technologies to synthesize speech that sounds like a human voice.

We love this service for simple announcements that can be published and repeatedly used with guaranteed accuracy and quality.  The bonus being we do not have to hear our own voices, hidden behind the need for quality assurance.
